Hi *wave wave* ... I'm 20 months old now and I'm enjoying my life being pampered by my family. The ones that I see everyday are Ma Ma, Da Da, Por Por and Gong Gong, but I also know the names of my other close family members. Let me show you how clever I am:
Yeh Yeh (grandpa) ... An Ma (grandma) ... Jane (Jane) ... Roh (Ross) ... Yara (Sarah) ... Mike (Mike) ... Ewik (Eric) ... A Ni (Yanni) ... Ee Ee (Ee Ee) ... Tai Ma (Tai Mah) ... Ok Kung (Sok Kung) ... Ok Por (Sok Por) ... Ee Pu (Ee Poh) ... Tai Por (Tai Por) ... Ku Kong (Ku Kong) ... Oo Jin (Eugene)
Clever! *clap hands* I'd say these names almost every night during my bedtime, and Ma Ma would tell me they are all sleeping. She'd give the same answer when I asked about my favorite cartoon friends. Oh, oh! I have my favorite shows on the Playhouse Disney Channel (and the only channel Ma Ma let's me watch, besides the occasional shows on Animal Planet). Pocoyo ranks no.1 and it's the only show that can make me sit still for 1/2 hours. No.2 is Jojo's Circus, and I especially enjoy the "Feeling good with Jojo" - some simple exercises for the body. No.3 is a current favorite (it used to be Little Einsteins, but the timing for the show changed - I may also change my mind about this later) and it's Bob the Builder. I love the blue cat in the show. There are other shows, but I only like the theme songs e.g. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Noddy, Barney, My Friends Tigger and Pooh, Johnny and the Sprites (now this used to be my top favorite - Ma Ma and Por Por couldn't understand why). Every night, I'd ask about Ee Or (Eeyore), Poo Bear (Pooh), Di Jer (Tigger), Ba Bit (Rabbit), Pi Git (Piglet), the Mickey gang ...
Another sign of me growing up well is I'm a copycat now. I love imitating whatever the 'big' people are doing. I usually get to sit on my special car seat in front when Ma Ma drives, so I can see how skillful she is in the car. Therefore my favorite kiddie ride in the shopping malls are - you guessed it - cars! And I take on the steering wheel with a level of professionalism that's beyond my age. The style, the maneuvering ... woo!
If you had read Ma Ma's post on our Genting trip, you'd know another favorite activity of mine - talking on the phone. My vocabulary may not be enough to carry on a proper conversation, but that doesn't stop me from "chatting" with whoever's on the other line. Once in a while, somewhere between my yabba.. yabba.. you can hear "Rahel" (that's me!) so that means I'm trying to tell you my day or something. I can also multi-task a.k.a. walking around my home "doing" other things while on the phone. Last weekend, it occured to Ma Ma that the 'big' people should have good behavior in case I copy the bad stuff as well. For example, a silly driver was driving in front of our car and did something silly, so Ma Ma said "stupid". The next second, I followed suit "tupit, tupit" Luckily, Ma Ma immediately stopped using that word, and I think I have now forgotten this word, too.
I love helping Por Por with the daily chores e.g. hanging clothes (I only want to play with the pole), ironing (I have my own mini iron and ironing board), wiping my toys (I'd wipe the toys, then the floor, then myself) but my favorite is folding clothes. I tried to follow the ways Por Por and Ma Ma did, but the nicely folded clothes would end up in a lump on the floor ... I still can't figure out this part.
I love it that I'm growing well!
